What does the NTSA Smart DL look like?
The new NTSA Smart DL is a smart card with an embedded chip, similar to ATM cards. It contains the driver’s information, including their name, blood type, biometric data, and a points system.
Each card has 100 points, and points are deducted when traffic offenses are committed. If a driver accumulates 40 points, their license will be automatically canceled.
The points system aims to promote responsible driving and discourage traffic violations. The NTSA Smart DL also aims to prevent the development of fake licenses and reduce fraud in the acquisition of driving licenses.
